YJA Convention '04': To See, To Know, To Realize

Young Jains of America is proud to present the 6th Biennial YJA Convention. Nearly 1000 young Jains are expected to meet this July 1-4, 2004 in Santa Clara, California. YJA Conventions have historically served as a forum for youth to meet and interact. Conventions are memorable events in which young Jains are given the opportunity to meet unique people from all over the nation, yet everyone has something in common.

Read what some people have to say about YJA Conventions!

"The first YJA Convention I went to was in New Jersey in 2002 and it was totally awesome! I was able to meet people around my age, each with individual and ambitions personalities from all around North America!”
Ruchi Punatar, Age 17, Petaluma, CA

“To me, YJA was a wonderful experience. I met alot of new people and got to see some old friends family. I was able to learn a lot about my religion.”
Resha Shah, Age 16, Sugar Land, TX

“A YJA Convention allows youth to play the role of teacher and student. It's rare when one gets the opportunity to not just learn, but also teach and thereby gain a deeper understanding of religion. However, at conventions, whether one is attending an ice breaker, hosting a session, or simply discussing how amazing it is that the Mexican food for dinner was devoid of onions while shooting hoops during recreation hour, there's always something to gain!”
Neha Shah, Age 18, East Brunswick, NJ

“The first YJA Convention I went to was in LA in 2000 and I had the time of my life I made new friends who I am surprised to still be in touch with. It's nice to know that basically anywhere I travel in this country I'll know someone. I learned a lot more about myself and Jainism I mean who can forget Karma Theory from YJA 2000!”
Shaan Zaveri, Age 20, Boston, MA
